The Fair Ireland Forum is pleased to offer to the public this exciting presentation as the first discussion in the
2010 Dialogue Series, featuring distinguished academics and members of civil society in conversation on topics of immediate and critical concern to Ireland. Facilitated by Dr. Lionel Pilkington of the School of Humanities, NUI Galway, Pat Dolan and Fiona Neary will discuss the challenges and opportunities for prevention, intervention and victim support policies in times of economic crisis.
This public event is free and will be
followed by a wine reception.

Speakers
Professor Pat Dolan is joint founder and Director of the Child and Family Research Centre at NUI Galway. In October 2008, Prof. Dolan was appointed UNESCO Chairholder in Children, Youth and Civic Engagement at NUI Galway - the first appointment of a UNESCO Chair to be awarded in the Republic of Ireland.
Fiona Neary is the Executive Director of the Rape Crisis Network Ireland. She is a founder member of the Mayo Rape Crisis Centre, has worked in front line service delivery and development in both Mayo and Galway RCCs, is a member of the National Steering Committee on Violence Against Women and has been the Irish Expert to the European Observatory on Violence Against Women.
